Training programmes on gender inclusivity in urban sanitation, Maharashtra, 2024

In collaboration with CWAS and KMC, CREA conducted gender inclusion training sessions for sanitation workers in Karad, Vita, and Ichalkaranji in October 2024. The sessions introduced concepts of gender, power, and patriarchy; discussed workplace safety under the POSH Act (2013); addressed occupational health concerns; and highlighted the rights and lived experiences of women sanitation workers within urban sanitation systems.
