National consultation on trans-inclusive sanitation, New Delhi, 2025
The two-day national consultation organised by CREA in April 2025 convened over 70 transgender and gender non-conforming individuals and 25 WASH practitioners to discuss challenges, intersectional issues, and policy gaps in sanitation access. The event emphasised inclusive infrastructure, trans leadership, mental health, livelihoods, and governance reforms as key areas for advancing equitable sanitation systems.
